ASHAK aims to provide our guests with "family cottage" experience. With that in mind we have collected used furniture, dishes, etc., in order to reproduce the concept of taking the old out of fashion stuff to the cottage. New mattresses, bedding, and appliances were purchased.

Several gardens blend with the natural setting. Guests are welcome to use garden produce, even pull weeds if they wish.   The operators of ASHAK have a diverse history, and eclectic interests. As a result of Stuart's 28 year career in the Canadian military, Pat and Stuart have lived in many different places, and traveled extensively. Both have a keen interest in their natural surroundings, and enjoy active outdoor endeavors. Pat has worked at a variety of occupations, and is proficient in design and completion of many crafts. Pat also has a strong academic background in ecology and natural resources. If time permits, she is willing to explore the beach, forest, and gardens with visitors.
